Glenn Clarke

Director of Operations

Glenn has over 15 years experience in the civil construction industry. He is responsible for programming and coordinating our works and resources to ensure that we meet our clients needs and deliver a consistent high quality of workmanship.

From humble beginnings, Glenn has now worked on hundreds of construction projects and now oversees 50 employees. Glenn has created a culture at NECC where we all work together to complete projects safely and to a very high standard.


Wayne Roberts 

Director / Project Manager

Wayne brings over 30 years experience in construction processes, with major areas of knowledge in the construction of bridges, pipelines, sewer pump stations, road construction, subdivisions and mine work.

During his time at NECC Wayne has been involved in estimating and working with engineers to achieve the best results for our clients. Wayne has completed over 15 bridge construction projects; ranging from entire Bridge constructions, Deck overlays, Culvert replacements, Heritage bridge restorations and Structural strengthening.

Brenton Heywood

Project Estimator

Brenton joined our team as our estimator after 12 years in the building trade, including 5 years as a Licensed Builder running a successful business. Brenton has gained the knowledge required to tender for complex civil construction projects, prepare budget reports for our supervisors and oversee the purchasing of construction materials.

His motivation is instrumental in successfully delivering our projects within budget.


Daniel Renn

Project Manager

Daniel (known as Rennie) is a qualified carpenter who joined our team in 2015. Rennie has successfully completed numerous projects of varying scopes. His eye for detail and understanding of complex civil construction processes allows us to complete multifaceted projects.

Some of the contracts he has over seen are; Wangaratta Council – Whitfield, Oxley and Moyhu Drainage Upgrades, North East Water - Tawonga Basin Remediation, GMW Channel Remediation valued $1.2 million, Alpine Shire Council Better Places Projects in Porepunkah and Myrtleford valued at over $3 million.

Ben Chalwell

Project Supervisor

Ben began in the civil construction industry in 2010. Over the years he has become proficient at final trim, batters, marking and cutting table drains, preparation of road subgrade, underground infrastructure: Sewer, Power, Water and the use of GPS control in machinery.

Some of the contracts he has managed include various subdivisions in North–East Victoria, HVP Forestry Road maintenance and Bulk Earthworks contracts for North East Water.                                       

Scott Kelly

Project Supervisor

Scott joined our team in 2012 and quickly became a crew leader on our Bemm River Sewer Reticulation project. From there he never looked back and has become adept at managing our workers across a vast variety of projects.

Some of these include; numerous subdivision developments throughout North-East Victoria, GMW Channel Automation projects valued at over $1 million in 2016, 2017 & 2018, and Vic Roads Road Upgrades contracts valued at over $6 million.

Tegan Kelly

Systems Coordinator

Tegan has been a valuable team member of NECC since 2013. The vast experience she has brought to NECC in administrative processes has helped the admin team develop our Safety Reporting Tools for which Tegan is responsible for maintaining. Tegan has a comprehensive knowledge of NECC’s operations and ability to assist the Project & HSE Coordinator in the maintenance of the company systems.

Jenny Brown

Finance & Payroll Manager

Jenny’s joined our team in 2021 and her professional background in business management and accounting practices ensures the business’s incoming and outgoing finances are prepared accurately. She is responsible for ensuring compliance with financial legislation and standards and providing advice on payroll, cash flow forecast and financial reporting.

Vanessa Hall

Administration Coordinator

Vanessa commenced with NECC in 2014 and has worked in all aspects of our administration processes. Vanessa provides support to staff and managers as well as creating reports for various departments. She ensures there is effective workflow thoughout the office.

Kirsty Heywood 

Project & HSE Coordinator / Administration Manager

Kirsty commenced at the company in 2011 in the Accounts and Payroll section of the company. From there she implemented and maintained the company’s job management software, Workbench, which incorporates online timesheets, invoices, project claims and costs, plant, stock and subcontractor management. As NECC grew, her role led into the development, maintenance and implementation of the company ISO accredited Integrated Management System.

Kirsty currently oversees 7 office staff, and is responsible for the management of all administration functions, including the Project & HSE Administration of our contracts. This involves the preparation and implementation of our HSE site manuals and systems, preparing work zone Traffic Management Plans, maintaining project files, and compilation and lodgement of appropriate reports to relevant authorities.

Kirsty has experience with large contract works with entities such as Vic Roads, Goulburn-Murray Water, North East Water, Department of Environment Land Water & Planning, Alpine Shire Council and HVP Plantations.
